Engineering connects the lighting layout to the site and the power system to the operating plan. The design basis is developed from project information and confirmed requirements.
DIALux evo design
We use DIALux evo for professional lighting design across roadways, airports, ports, industrial facilities, factory roads, parking areas, playgrounds, sports fields and perimeter areas.
Design reviews can consider illuminance (lux), uniformity, glare, pole height, pole spacing, beam distribution and site geometry. Final targets follow the project specification and applicable requirements.
Solar resource & climate-based design
Solar systems are planned around project-location climatic and solar-resource conditions. Where suitable, long-term meteorological and solar-radiation datasets, including NASA-derived sources, can inform the analysis.
- Solar irradiation assessment
- PV array sizing
- Battery sizing and autonomy
- Operating schedule and lighting load
- Seasonal performance and backup margin
Annual energy simulation
Project energy behavior can be evaluated across extended operating periods using the relationship:
Solar irradiation → PV generation → Battery SOC → Lighting load → Backup margin
This system view supports evaluation of seasonal conditions, storage behavior and the planned lighting schedule, beyond a single sun-hour estimate.
Hybrid solar + AC engineering
For airports, manufacturing facilities, industrial parks, ports, major roads and other critical infrastructure, a hybrid configuration can use solar energy intelligently while AC supplies backup or additional reliability where required. The system strategy is set against the project’s operating priorities.
Information for a design review
Useful inputs include a site plan, application, pole height and spacing, target illuminance if specified, operating schedule, location and any required standards or client specifications.
